NOTICE TO ALL LICENSED TESTERS OF BACKFLOW PREVENTION ASSEMBLIES IN THE BOUNDARY OF DALTON WATER ASSOCIATION

Licensed testers wishing to test backflow prevention assemblies within the boundary of Dalton Water Association and premises served by the water systems of Dalton Water Association are required under the cross connection control regulations set forth in the Idaho Rules for Public Drinking Water Systems 58.01.08.07 and the bylaws of the Association to register with Dalton Water Association.

The registration requirements are:

  1) The Backflow Assembly Tester must maintain a current State of Idaho Backflow Assembly Tester License/Certificate. The person named must meet the requirements for licensure under the laws and rules of the State of Idaho.

  2) The tester's backflow prevention assembly test equipment calibration shall be verified or calibrated annually by the gauge manufacturer or a qualified calibration facility within the manufacturer's specifications.

  3) A copy of the tester's current license as a Backflow Assembly Tester and a copy of the report that verifies calibration of test equipment for current year must accompany the completed application for registration and be on file with the DALTON WATER ASSOCIATION.

Licensed testers wishing to be registered with the Dalton Water Association are required to obtain an application form from the Dalton Water Association annually. The tester shall be responsible for the accuracy of all tests and reports prepared by the tester. The registration issued to any tester may be revoked or suspended by the Dalton Water Association for improper testing or reporting.
