Water is pumped from the aquifer by two wells into two storage reservoirs and then distributed through mains throughout Dalton Gardens.

The association does not regularly treat the water. This means that we do not chlorinate, or add any treatment to prevent tooth decay. We do sometimes disinfect the system when needed.

The association regularly monitors the water quality and conducts testing monthly for total coliform (bacteria) analysis. Additional testing is conducted and scheduled to meet, or exceed, the required Idaho Dept. of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) standards to insure that our drinking water is safe and clean. All detectable results of our monitoring are presented in our annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) or Drinking Water Quality Report. This report is provided to all customers with the 3rd Quarter statements and as a PDF on our website.

Our water’s hardness ranges from moderately hard to very hard.

Our water system has backup generators which will keep our water flowing in case of a power outage.

In 2018 we upgraded our water metering systems. We now read meters electronically and on a monthly basis. This allows us to detect leaks earlier and alert our customers sooner.
