Q. What are the Association’s business hours?
A. Our business hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
Q. Who do I call after hours &/or for emergencies?
A. Please call our office at (208) 772-5639 after hours & for after hours emergencies. We have an answering service to assist with after hour calls and to take your message for non-emergent calls. For emergencies reported after hours, our answering service will gather your information and contact our on-call water operator. We will return your non-emergent calls as soon as possible.
Q. What is the hardness of our water?
A. The hardness of our water is 213 parts per million (ppm) or 13.3838 grains per gallon (gpg).
Q. When is the next billing statement?
A. Quarterly statements, if mailed, are processed to be in mail boxes by the 1st week of the calendar quarter month (January, April, July & October). Quarterly statements, if emailed, are process & sent after 12 noon on the last Thursday of the last month of each quarter (i.e. December, March, June & August) for the coming quarter.
Q. When is my bill due?
A. Bill payments are due in the Association’s office before, or by, the end of the billing month (January, April, July & October).
Q. When are the meters read?
A. Meters are read monthly.
Q. How can I pay my bill?
A. We accept payments by cash, check, debit/credit card & ACH (from your bank acct.). You can mail or drop off your payments at 6360 N. 4th Street in the Dalton Gardens’ City Hall. Or you can visit our website at www.daltonwaterassociation.com to pay by credit/debit card, or ACH (from your bank acct.) from the home page by clicking the “Click Here to Pay Your Water Bill Online” button. You may also go directly to the secure pay site but clicking this link: https://securepayment.link/daltonwaterassociation/. There is a 1% convenience fee for payments by credit/debit card and a 1.1% convenience fee for payments by ACH.
Q. Are advance or monthly payments an option?
A. Yes, we will gladly accept advanced payments &/or monthly payments. Please call our office during business hours and we will be happy to assist you in determining your monthly or advanced payment(s), assuming no excess charges apply, to maintain your accounts good standing. Monthly or advanced payments can be set up either via our online payment portal with your credit/debit card, or simply begin paying monthly by check or cash.
Q. Is auto-withdraw/recurring payments an option?
A. Yes, payment by auto-withdrawal or recurring payment is available by credit/debit card online by visiting our website at www.daltonwaterassociation.com or directly access the secure payment site at https://securepayment.link/daltonwaterassociation/.
Q. Is e-billing (paperless billing) available?
A. Yes, we can send your billing statements via email. To request this option send us an email at officemanager@daltonwaterassociation.com and include your name, account number, service address, preferred email address, and phone number.
Q. What is & when do you apply late fees?
A. The Association does have a Delinquency Policy on our website. More information is available by clicking the “Billing” tab above and selecting from the drop-down menu “Delinquency Policy” to view our procedures.
Q. Can I send my property’s water billing statement to my relative/tenant/property management company?
A. Yes, billing statements can be sent to a relative/tenant/property management company, but we require written authorization from the property owner. Dalton Water Assn.’s policy is that the property owner is our member and legally responsible for payment if designated relative/tenant/property management company does not pay.
Q. When & where is the Association’s annual meeting?
A. The Dalton Water Assn.’s annual meeting is held at 7:30 PM on the 1st Monday in March each year in the Council Room at the Dalton Gardens’ City Hall at 6360 N. 4th Street.
Q. When & where is the Association’s board meetings held?
A. The Dalton Water Assn.’s regularly scheduled board meetings are held at 5:00 PM on the 2nd Wednesday each month in the Council Room at the Dalton Gardens’ City Hall at 6360 N. 4th Street.
Q. Does the Association treat the drinking water system?
A. No, we do not treat our water system on a regular basis; but we do have a MIOX system in case treatment is needed.
Q. Is watering my landscape/lawn on a daily basis allowed?
A. Yes, you may water your landscape/lawn as often as you wish using our system. Our system is available 24/7 and is fully capable to handle your water usage.
Q. Does the Association require backflow testing?
A. Yes, annual testing of backflow assemblies are required by May 15th each year, if you have a backflow assembly installed. For additional information, please click the “Backflow Testing Resources” on the “Backflow” tab above.
